On International Women's Rights Day ottod'Ame supports
the reintegration of women victims of violence into the labour market

There is an insidious form of violence that is more difficult to recognise than others, but which has a considerable impact on the lives of women who are victims. It is called economic violence and includes all those behaviours aimed at controlling the woman's ability to acquire and maintain economic resources, including access to employment, from which the victim is removed. In Italy, 49% of women experience it at least once in their lives, a percentage that rises to 67% among divorced or separated women (Ipsos data 2023).

On the occasion of the International Women's Rights Day, ottod’Ame ottod'Ame supports women victims of violence through a partnership with Artemisia, a Florentine association that for years has been committed to fighting all forms of violence against women and minors, promoting their right to freedom, safety and integrity.

Our donation will enable four families to embark on the path of acquiring socio-economic autonomy through vocational training courses, driving licences and work-life balance solutions, such as babysitting bonuses, enrolment in summer centres and recreational activities. Essential expenses such as canteen, school kits, transport, utility bills and health care will also be covered, measures that will provide women victims of violence with comprehensive support for an independent and secure future.
